Having the ability to build relationships with your implementation team so that they really understand your needs and can help problem solve has probably been the best part of our experience. They respect the budget we set forward, and while they educate us about how their other products would help, there is no pressure to purchase anything and stay within the parameters you have set. They have been incredible cheerleaders for our organization and staff throughout this process.

I worked with iMIS for 17 years. I started with a minimal desktop version, we had to do a lot of customization that we inhered over the upgrades. Now we are in very difficult situation, we cannot upgrate to cloud version because of these customization.

The certification module is not responding to our needs, so the customization is suppose to continue.

The product is quite expensive and personally, it can be very difficult to navigate if you're a first-time user. I do like the fact that you can manage the website through the RiSE platform, and its ease of use is a plus! I did find that there are a few EMS systems which require you to use a 3rd party to manage the website, and this can be costly especially if you're considering moving to another AMS system. The Events platform is also fairly easy to use, and this is important considering we offer so many educational offerings both classroom and webinars.

iMIS is a modular system, which allows for a great deal of customization.  With the older versions a strong knowledge of SQL was a great benefit, as that and tools like Access were the best method for querying the data.  All that changed as iMIS developed a very robust tool for querying (called IQA).  In the EMS version IQAs are the only way to query data (though there is now a product from a separate vendor that allows for a great deal of SQL style work), and this has pluses and minuses.  On the plus side, it is very easy to create and modify queries and use them to build dynamic web content (something that was far harder with SQL).  On the downside, IQA can be a confusing tool to learm (especially if you are used to using SQL, as IQAs do not always utilize table names that are immediately recognizable, and examples that ASI creates are predicated on an ot of the box installation, which means that any customization that was done to the 'desktop' version is harder to find in the IQA tool.

One truly great facet of the product is a very powerful web tool that makes constructing websites that integrates well with member records and utilizes a robust permissions-based constraint on who can view and utilize web content..

Using iMIS has been a positive experience for our organisation and has made things a lot more efficient compared to before. Now, all of our data - membership information, CPD, training and events - are in the one system and can easily be reviewed, analysed and retrieved. Previously we had data for different parts of the business in different places, and extracting this data was time consuming and inefficient. iMIS is very powerful and there is a lot of potential within the system to automate workflows, extract meaningful data and generally improve the experience for both staff users as well as members and other customers.

IMIS is a high level SAAS licensed product that takes a dedicated administrator, training and maintenance. You will be impressed with the capabilities, and future solutions. This is not a simple out of the box solution and requires planning, implementation, onboarding. There is a wonderful international users group in addition to the excellent online video training and documentation. We have been using iMIS for three years. We just upgraded to the on-premise version of the software.  While the transition has been pretty good, we would like to have more guidance as it relates to maintenance and administration of the product.  Users have commented that the new version flows and looks better than the desktop version.

Our organization has many uses for iMIS, I handle all the actual data being tracked in the system.  It is very easy to create new fields and showcase them in the order that flows best for your look.  As the Membership Coordinator in my organization, I have to manage the the day-to-day aspects of keeping the data base accurate. We are currently using iMIS 2017 and it's helped me and my colleagues a great deal when it comes to setting up email templates and looking at analytics and keeping track of all the events and happenings for the college as well as a up to date dashboard on revenue etc. We are soon to migrate to iMIS EMS and I've tested it along with my manager and there's definitely a vast improvement between that and iMIS 2017

IMIS has allowed us to centralize our knowledge gathering within a scalable platform, allowing for all our business units to function off a single source of truth.

Integrations with secondary data source providers are constantly being developed, however often come at additional licensing costs/fees. If the platform supported webhooks it would allow us a truly integrated solution.

It's very user-friendly and consistently tries to improve the user's experience with outreach, as provides a vast learning section with training modules for newcomers. It combines our membership and conference registration information with a single sign-on, and makes for easy exporting to external sites. I also like the store feature for our products. We're in the process of also integrating Open Water to allow for abstract submissions as well. My one complaint is not being able to delete contacts when they are no longer relevant. It would be nice to be able to just delete defunct contacts instead of duplicating them

I enjoy hat iMIS is a multi functional platform. The capabilities are amazing and to be able to perform so many different tasks and functions within one system is ideal for our organization and membership.

The system can be configured for many uses - so the flexibility of the system is great. It has the ability to store so much information.  The product is best suited for very large organizations that have a tech team devoted to managing the performance and configuration of the system as the system needs to be reconfigured everytime IMIS pushes out an update. Overall the system is slow.  Some days are better than others, but most are mediocre for speed. We've reported the slowness many times and only had one meaningful improvement to speed.  The worst performance is the case management module which takes 6-7 seconds for each page or tab to load. The software is quite pricey and we have to pay to have settings and configurations done each time an update is pushed out. We can tell when and update has been done because menus are mixed up and page layouts are a mess. This was a big disappointment because one of the selling features was "seamless updates". Overall the system would be amazing if it were faster and the updates didn't mess up the system.

Solid product with a great team behind it. Have used their customer support a number of times and they were a valuable resource to the predecessor of my role. The desktop application is not always the most intuitive but with their recent rollout of their browser-based EMS many features have improved. Things do exactly what they say, sometimes to a fault. Backwards support for the desktop+browser setup isn't always there as they push users to upgrade to the purely browser version, meaning some critical features are away. Not really a problem to new organizations looking to use iMIS though.

iMIS is user friendly at the staff site level and has multiple operations requirements built in with out of the box solutions. The ability to display the data as we need it is key and helps us with our day in and day out operations. With the ability to integrate to other key engagment platforms we can provide our members a customized member journey and engage them to the best of our ability. While there is a learning curve, there is always a solution or provider available to help solve the issue at hand.
