iMIS

iMIS makes managing so many different things at once an easy task. From processing payments, compiling event registrations and registrant information, I would highly recommend using iMIS for your needs.

We have been an IMIS user for 4 years and have found major cost/time savings in utilsing this platform.  Backend customisation and learning subscription is ideal for bespoking your site to your membership needs and supporting events/webinars.  As a single user, I can manage all elements of membership management, renewals, events and the conference and communications/marketing with this platform.  Real time dashboards are brilliant for quick review and reporting. Would highly recommend.

 

My organization uses iMIS to manage multiple associations.  We have customized functionality to make iMIS work for us.  With the new cloud/on-prem version of Enterprise, there are work-arounds that have to be used to allow for our business rules.  The ease of use is greatly improved from the old desktop functionality.  Most tasks can be completed in much less time.  The developers seem to be making great strides in functionality for many types of organizations.

As a membership organization, we specialize in hosting professional development events for our valued clients. Our choice of software, IMIS, has proven to be an excellent fit for our requirements, offering comprehensive solutions tailored to non-profit associations. Recently, we have transitioned to the latest version of IMIS, known as IMIS EMS.

The integration of IMIS into our operations has been seamless, enabling us to effortlessly gather a wide range of information and data. Previously, this task would have necessitated pulling multiple reports from various sources. However, thanks to iMIS, this process has been streamlined and simplified. Once you grasp the platform's advanced capabilities and user-friendly interface, it becomes apparent that no other software can compare to the power and efficiency of iMIS.

Among the standout features of iMIS are its IQA (Intelligent Query Architect), IMIS Reports Writer, and IMIS forms. These tools have become my personal favorites, providing us with robust reporting capabilities, customizable forms, and the ability to extract valuable insights from our data. Furthermore, iMIS offers a robust API that empowers us to create custom integrations and automate processes in accordance with the specific needs of our organization.

In summary, IMIS has proven itself to be an indispensable asset to our membership organization. Its comprehensive functionality, user-friendly interface, and flexible API make it the software of choice for us, leaving little desire to return to any other platform.

Christian Schools Australia researched a number of options when looking to implement an AMS in 2020, ultimately we went with IMIS and this has been a great addition to our organisation. Prior to that data was managed in spreadsheets - now we have a single source of truth.  We worked with great implementation partners, Causeis and that was a great decision.  Three years in we manage 99% of our IMIS use within our own team and only occasionaly need additional support or when adding additional features. 

There are lots of great tools that integrate with IMIS that have meant we can also tie in systems such as Mailchimp for our communications and IMIS is constantly being updated. Overall we are very happy with our decision.

iMIS does it all! It collects our member data, processes payments, houses our website, generate reports, communicates with members, hosts evets, and everything else in between. It's a great way to have all our data stored in one place and we can find out as much about our member as possible. Lots of different applications integrate with iMIS so it helps to transfer data back and forth and iMIS becomes the single source of truth. It's a bit of learning curve in the beginning, but once you get over it, it's straightforward to use. The customer service has been phenomenal and the support pages are very helpful.

We use IMIS to maintain 10 plus associations and the current product works well for our needs.  We have had our our shares of issues when it comes to managing multiple associations in one organization.  But overall, it works for us.  We are in the process of upgrading and that process has been bumpy do to the product being on-premise.

We are currently using iMIS 2017 and it's helped me and my colleagues a great deal when it comes to setting up email templates and looking at analytics and keeping track of all the events and happenings for the college as well as a up to date dashboard on revenue etc. We are soon to migrate to iMIS EMS and I've tested it along with my manager and there's definitely a vast improvement between that and iMIS 2017

IMIS has allowed us to centralize our knowledge gathering within a scalable platform, allowing for all our business units to function off a single source of truth.

Integrations with secondary data source providers are constantly being developed, however often come at additional licensing costs/fees. If the platform supported webhooks it would allow us a truly integrated solution.

It's very user-friendly and consistently tries to improve the user's experience with outreach, as provides a vast learning section with training modules for newcomers. It combines our membership and conference registration information with a single sign-on, and makes for easy exporting to external sites. I also like the store feature for our products. We're in the process of also integrating Open Water to allow for abstract submissions as well. My one complaint is not being able to delete contacts when they are no longer relevant. It would be nice to be able to just delete defunct contacts instead of duplicating them

I enjoy hat iMIS is a multi functional platform. The capabilities are amazing and to be able to perform so many different tasks and functions within one system is ideal for our organization and membership.

iMIS is great so long as you understand the workings of databases and are comfortable with website work. You need a bit of I.T. savvy to bend it to your will. But with that expertise, iMIS can handle just about anything you want it to do. Complex dues structures can be handled, including a multitude of member types, chapters, categories, and voluntary contributions, subscriptions, etc. 

I have been using iMIS at my association for the past two years. I love how easy iMIS makes it to find information and process payments.

The system can be configured for many uses - so the flexibility of the system is great. It has the ability to store so much information.  The product is best suited for very large organizations that have a tech team devoted to managing the performance and configuration of the system as the system needs to be reconfigured everytime IMIS pushes out an update. Overall the system is slow.  Some days are better than others, but most are mediocre for speed. We've reported the slowness many times and only had one meaningful improvement to speed.  The worst performance is the case management module which takes 6-7 seconds for each page or tab to load. The software is quite pricey and we have to pay to have settings and configurations done each time an update is pushed out. We can tell when and update has been done because menus are mixed up and page layouts are a mess. This was a big disappointment because one of the selling features was "seamless updates". Overall the system would be amazing if it were faster and the updates didn't mess up the system.

We are an association management company with over 25 clients, most of whom we have have moved to iMIS 2017. The pros of using iMIS with our clients include the ability to customize it to fit each client's needs and the ability to create complex and meaningful reports based on the data we track. It also allows us to provide dashboards for each client's leadership with reports and other information, giving them more real-time access to their data and freeing up staff time.

The cons for us tend to be the cost, especially for essential modules like custom forms and reporting. 

Overall, our staff and our clients are clients are happy with iMIS and what it provides them when compared to the AMS applications from which we move them. 

Within the past year iMIS became our primary database management system.  iMIS is a very robust program with powerful features.  As the Membership Coordinator, I primarily handle all the membership profile accounts and generate reports (a.k.a IQA’s) for all our staff members.  The IQA’s are at first daunting, but once you have the knowledge of utilizing them, you can obtain the most complex search results immediately at your fingertips. Although I was asked to review this product, I was not asked to write a positive review.

The iMIS cloud version was fragile at first and some features such as refunds were not available.  I recommend if you haven't upgraded to the cloud yet, to do so as the month updates are included and easier to stay up-to-date.  Also the cloud version supports most of the new modules.

Solid product with a great team behind it. Have used their customer support a number of times and they were a valuable resource to the predecessor of my role. The desktop application is not always the most intuitive but with their recent rollout of their browser-based EMS many features have improved. Things do exactly what they say, sometimes to a fault. Backwards support for the desktop+browser setup isn't always there as they push users to upgrade to the purely browser version, meaning some critical features are away. Not really a problem to new organizations looking to use iMIS though.

I have been working with iMIS for 20 years. I like the fact that iMIS is very flexible and continues to build on that flexibility.  When I have a vision, I can build it without outside programming.  Our staff site changes weekly to meet the needs of our needs. iMIS allows me to think outside of the iMIS box.

The ability for staff to track everything from first contact to closing to continued contact.  With iMIS we have a lot of dashboards that track everything from phone calls to sales for the year.  That has become a big benefit for our sales team and management.

We are a regulatory organization that uses iMIS to manage membership, process applications, and keep track of investigations data.

iMIS has grown as a pivotal part of our organization that powers data analysis, process automations, and centralization of data sources. Although at times the platform is not intuitive to use and requires professional help, it is an overall effective product that can help your organization do what it wants and needs to do with various types of data. I highly recommend that any new clients work with qualified, professionial consultants to take advantage of the customizations in iMIS.
